Korea’s Robot Park

I created a new blog category “Robot News” today. I will use this as a place to keep you abreast of some of the more important robot happenings in the world. Actually I’ll probably use it just for quick posts when I am too tired to author my own content.

Korea Tuesday:

Yesterday the South Korean government announced it would kick in 1.4 trillion won ($1.6 billion U.S.) to help build two robot theme parks in an effort to promote Korea’s robot industry. Work is to begin in 2009 and to be completed in 2013.

Korea’s $800 million robotics industry is ranked sixth in the world, and focuses primarily on robots that clean homes and provide entertainment. They envision the theme parks as a meca for robot developers worldwide.

Rock On  my Seoul brothers and Sisters.
